What DoseRelay stores locally
DoseRelay stores medication names, optional dose text and photos, instructions, schedules, reminder preferences, inventory information, and dose history in the app database on your phone and watch. Actions such as Taken, Snooze, or Skip are stored locally so the app can show history and keep reminders consistent.
Images selected for medication recognition are processed on-device. Medication text recognized from an image is not uploaded by DoseRelay. A backup file is created only when you choose to export one, and you control where it is saved or shared.
Phone and watch synchronization
DoseRelay sends reminder settings and dose records directly between the paired phone and watch through the Wear OS Data Layer. This allows both devices to reconcile changes and continue working when temporarily disconnected. This synchronization does not upload medication content to a DoseRelay server.
Product analytics
Limited Firebase Analytics data is collected automatically in production after runtime initialization and remote configuration allow collection. Remote configuration also provides a kill switch that can disable product analytics. Data can include an app-instance identifier, app and device version, broad device characteristics, country-level information inferred by the provider, screen or feature category, purchase-flow reliability, and coarse performance measurements.
Medication names, dose amounts, instructions, schedules, photos, notes, occurrence identifiers, and whether you chose Taken, Snooze, or Skip are not sent to Firebase Analytics. DoseRelay disables advertising storage and advertising-ID collection, does not show ads, and does not use analytics for advertising.
Diagnostics
Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports and reliability diagnostics automatically in production. These records can include a pseudonymous installation identifier, app and operating-system version, device model, stack traces, and non-sensitive app state needed to diagnose a failure. DoseRelay is designed not to attach medication content to these reports. Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days in Firebase unless they are deleted sooner.
Purchases
When purchase services initialize, RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user ID and product and entitlement information whether or not you purchase DoseRelay Pro. If you make a purchase, RevenueCat also receives transaction receipts and related purchase metadata. It does not receive medication content from DoseRelay. Google Play processes payment details, transactions, cancellations, and refunds under Google's own privacy terms; DoseRelay does not receive your full payment-card number.
Support and legal requests
If you email us, we receive the address and information you provide. Please do not include medication or health details. We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, prevent abuse, or establish and defend legal rights.
Retention and deletion
Local medication information remains until you delete a medication, clear app storage, or uninstall DoseRelay. To remove all synchronized local information, clear or uninstall the app on both the phone and watch. A device that still contains data may otherwise synchronize it back to the paired device.
You may request deletion of online-service records we control by emailing vortrekdev@gmail.com. Include your DoseRelay device sync ID; for a purchase request, include the Google Play order ID. Do not include medication information. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days. Providers may retain limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention, or legal records when required by law or their applicable terms.
Security, children, and changes
Android application sandboxing and your device security help protect local data, and service-provider traffic uses encrypted connections. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. DoseRelay is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change; the effective date above will identify the latest version.
